Refund and Returns Policy

At Ascender Adventures, we invest significant time and advance payments in securing permits, hotels, transport, guides, porters, and logistics for each trip. As most of these arrangements are prepaid and non-recoverable, the following refund policy applies to all confirmed bookings.

 

1. Booking Confirmation

A trip is confirmed only upon receipt of the required advance payment. Remaining balance must be paid by the deadline communicated before departure. Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation without refund of the advance.

 

2. Cancellation by Participant
Cancellation charges apply as follows:

 

For Domestic Trips (Non-Restricted Areas)

30+ days before departure – 100% refund of the amount paid

15–29 days before departure – 80% refund

14 days or less before departure – 50% refund

3 days or less before departure – No refund

 

For Restricted Zone Treks (Example: K2 Base Camp, Snow Lake, etc.)

Due to non-refundable permits, insurance, park fees, and logistics:

 

45+ days before departure – 100% refund

15–44 days before departure – 90% refund

Less than 15 days before departure – 80% refund

Less than 3 days before departure – No refund

 

Government permit fees, insurance, CKNP/GGLA charges, and already issued visas (if applicable) are strictly non-refundable.

 

3. Flights & Third-Party Services
Domestic or international flight tickets are subject to airline policies. Hotel bookings made under special group rates are often non-refundable close to departure. Visa fees, embassy charges, and insurance costs are non-refundable.

 

4. No-Show Policy
Failure to join the trip on departure day will be treated as a cancellation with no refund.
